We’ve had a great response since launching our new t-shirt voting platform only last month with more t-shirt submissions then ever. We’ve hit an all time record with 82 submissions in only one month, crazy! Thank you to everyone who’s taken the time to submit t-shirt designs to us, you’re awesome!
If you haven’t seen your work on the voting pages just yet, don’t worry. We’re working hard to process everything, but we’ll send you an email once it’s live. Then you and your friends and followers will be able to vote your design to victory, giving you exposure along the way.
Since the t-shirt voting launched we’ve received positive comments from you guys. When we built the platform, our intention was to build it with our community in mind. Since day one, we’ve installed a blue feedback button (on the right hand side) on the homepage of the voting section. Here you can drop your suggestions and comments on the voting process as well contacting us through the normal methods, email, Twitter etc.
With that said, we love listening to your feedback and we’ve collected all the data and we’ve tweaked elements of our site to give you the best experience. Some tweaks are less obvious, but the biggest change is that the t-shirt combined score total has changed.
Receive 30 votes And It’s Off To The Printers!
As you might have guessed, we’ve reduced the total votes a t-shirt needs before going to print from 100 to 30. You might be asking why the big drop? Well as more designs go to vote it becomes harder for others, in general, to make the overall goal. This is mainly because votes are more evenly spread among the designs. That’s great for us as it shows you guys love the designs that are coming in. Looking at the voting data we found that the popular designs are getting lost within the sea of others.
Instead we felt that popular designs are popular for a reason and therefore deserve a place in the store were people can purchase them, giving other designers better exposure within the voting pages. Our main goal of Graphic Tide is to help promote artists (at any skill level) and give them an avenue of making money. But our artist commission program only applies to t-shirts sold in store. We could see a handful of t-shirts were getting a lot of buzz, so why not make it so that it benefits the artist even more? So that’s what we’ve done.
From today t-shirts in the voting pages only need a combined score of 30. That’s combining Graphic Tide votes and votes cast socially via Twitter. We feel that now good designs will be able to reach the target quicker, allowing us the give more exposure to artists whilst they earn more money. We didn’t want people feeling frustrated when they see a design they love but can’t purchase it without having to wait for t-shirt to hit the goal. With this update it allows other designers reach their goal too, so it’s a win-win!
T-shirt Designs Wanted
We’re looking forward to helping more artists by getting more designs in store, ultimately helping you guys earn more money. If you or someone you know is an artist and would like to earn money, make sure you head over to the t-shirt submission page for more information and add yours.
The designs you submit don’t need to have been specifically designed just for t-shirts. Your design might have been part of a project you’ve been working on or from your personal profile. As long as you own the copyright, it’s all good in the hood. We’re always after t-shirt designers and it’s free to submit, so why not add yours today and start earning money?
