1. Tell us a bit about yourself. What’s your main discipline?
I like detail. Not only in art but in all areas of my life.
I enjoy the little things that help to make up the whole!
Pen & Ink has always been my favourite medium to work in. Expressive line is fun but I especially like pointillism or stipple as I call it.
2. What are your biggest influences or inspirations as a creative?
My biggest influence is and has always been my father, who was a great cartoonist. He always had a pencil and paper everywhere he went and sketched everything he saw.
My favourite artists and whom I draw mostly from are Maxfield Parrish and the great Bernie Wrightson.
3. Tell us about your t-shirt designs
I love aviation and aviation art. I also love a touch of the surreal.
These designs were done as a carry on to my already existing t-shirt design line. They were created completely in Photoshop where I do most of my work these days, using brush, eraser and pencil.
4. Can you tell us about your creative process? How does your day shape up?
I spend much of my time helping friends of mine silk screen printing in their shop.
When not printing or looking for work I’m at the computer doing artwork. It’s an addiction really, I can’t get through a day without doing something creative.
I don’t really think about what I’m doing as I work, I just go at it and the end result is just what was meant to be I guess. After an initial rough concept, sketch, if it pleases my eye then I dig in and detail it.
5. Tell us something which we might not know about you.
Having grown-up practically on the beach, I am a surf junki.
Not so much boards these days but body surfing.
6. Where can we get in contact with you?
All my contact info is located within my website, where you can view more of my illustrations, artworks, and aviation pieces.
If you want to contact me directly, my telephone number is 323-376-9444.
