Here on Graphic Tide, were always looking for new ways to get artists and designers out there for the world to see, and support you with featured blog posts, inspiration, and selling your designs on t-shirts. Every two weeks we produce a creative interview with a designer or artist who has their work featured in our store, or on our voting platform.
This week, Graphic Tide is interviewing the fantastic Mike Viveros. Mike has been here since Graphic Tide started up, and it’s a great pleasure to show some of his work today! Mike has a great talent for drawing, colour and creating pieces of artwork which are fresh and exciting, (my favourite is his Parrot drawing, which uses pink in a great way).
Tell us a bit about yourself. What’s your main discipline?
Hi, I’m Mike Viveros. I am 30 years old. I reside in Chino California where I live with my wife and two kids. I work full time as a diagnostic technician for BMW, and create art pieces on my spare time.
What are your biggest influences or inspirations as a creative?
My largest influences for the painted subject are my own emotions and how I’m feeling. Each emotion has a different mind set and perspective. Many things may inspire me, nature, religion, and so on. It is when I channel my emotion and inspiration into infatuation that my best work is done.
Tell us about your voting t-shirt design.
My t-shirt designs are about a hidden feeling that may grab ones attention with the same state of mind I had at the time the piece was done.
Can you tell us about your creative process? How does your day shape up?
My creative process varies. Because I have a full time job in another field which causes some burnout, I will get spurts of motivated inspiration here and there, which will be sucked dry by creating a new piece. I enjoy it and believe it’s a nice balance.
Where Can I Vote For Mike’s Design?
I really encourage you to help Mike get his t-shirt design get printed with us, as he’s a great talent who has a lot of potential. You can view a number of his voting submissions, Immortal Behavior, Requiems and Uptown Kingdom Glory. You can contact mike on via Twitter also!
My family and friends know me as a God fearing, creative, and adventure loving person.
