Today’s inspiration blog post is going to be focused around the world of typography, anything from hand rendered type to the world of logos, this is an area of design which is very important, that sometimes goes overlooked. Type can influence customers, inform its audience and makes the audience think.

It is used mostly within graphic design, but it also appears within illustration, photography and the fine arts. We have looked high and low across the internet to bring to you some inspirational images, that hopefully can stimulate your next project.

In today’s post we particularly like the work of Jon Contino’s portfolio of work, he has a great eye for typography which always looks great, in particular his Steven King book cover, which was a special highlight. You can tell that he has worked for hours on end, perfecting his type skills, and it shows! We also love the work of Kate Pullen, who uses some great hand rendered type, that is very creative and powerful to the eye, very eye catching indeed! Her type is very playful and attracts her audience with her use of bright colours, with the combination of illustration and type together.
