What other ways can you discover more clients than you ever had, and more importantly, keep the ones which you already have, so these avid followers come back to us time and time again. I’m going to list a few examples to help you gain more potential clients, keep the ones you have, and build relationships with these people so you can elevate your company to the next level.

Show Some Love Back

If someone re-tweets your status, shares your page or website, or comments on your blog or website, make sure you follow this up by showing some love back to them. As they took time out of their busy day to comment and share about you and your services, make sure that you let them know that it’s appreciated. By saying thanks to them, it allows them to think what they did, helped you out a great deal, and encourages them to do it again. This also allows you to potentially start a conversation with them, and become more of an avid follower, if there’re not already.

Become More Personal

Customers fall in love with a company’s brand because of it’s people which they represent, the stories which are associated with them, and the personalities which they convey. For instance, even though Steve Jobs has passed away, he is still one of the best known figures, and represents Apple as professional and a company which has a personal voice. By showing this, it allows customers to connect with this, and grow attachment to it. Remove your cold and de-human aspect of your company, and make it more personal. Add a human personality for your potential customers to connect to, share your website and like you.

How Do You Do This?

Add a descriptive about page on your website, blog or social media platforms, and talk a bit about the people who work for you, and tell stories about each of them. If you have an unique story surrounding your business, make sure you tell the story on your website, so your audience can see how the company was set up and started. Another important aspect to your about pages, is showing pictures of each of you, as this gives a face behind your company, or add ‘About The Author’ pictures beneath your blog posts, like I have at the end of this post.

It’s Not All About Selling

With your company or freelance career, change your sell, sell, sell personality to that of building relationships and engaging with your audience. By changing this aspect of your company, you will begin to start gaining more sales and commissions than you ever had, as you’ve changed this important aspect of your company’s brand. In today’s modern world, we hate to be sold to, so don’t do it. If you go into any situation with a hidden agenda, people will react to this, and this will result in less clients and money for you. By building relationships, it allows you to connect with your customers, which many companies are not doing.

Summary Of Points

Comment back to others who have shown some love to you

This can result in building conversations with people, adding value to your brand

Add a face to your brand and talk about your company as a group of people, not machines

This could be how you started the company, your passions or the people who work for you

Add a descriptive about page that people can connect with

You will sell more if you change your ethos from that of sell, sell, sell, to that of building relationships with others

How have you connected with your audience?

Are there any negative aspects to what I’ve listed above?

I’ll love to hear from you on this topic, and these questions which I’ve raised above. Be sure to comment below, or on our social media platforms, as I find this is a very interesting topic, which I would like to discuss with all of you. I hope you’ve enjoyed this blog post about connecting with your audience, and how this can benefit you and your brand.
