As the Christmas festive season is truly upon us, we wanted to share a special and unique kind of blog post this week, by showcasing ‘The Ultimate Christmas Creative Inspiration’.

From epic festive typography, mind blowing Christmas themed illustrations, to Winter inspired packaging, this blog post is here for all of your Christmas cravings!

We’re going to be featuring the work of Steve Simpson’s fantastic illustrations for ‘Millionenlos Swisslos’, ‘Christmas Typo Font’ by the great Luca Milani, and ‘Holiday Punch Gift Tags’ by Willoughby Design, which are all excellently designed and illustrated.

So sit back and take in this fantastic ultimate Christmas Creative Inspiration!

Steve Simpson’s fantastic illustrations for ‘Millionenlos Swisslos’

Steve Simpson is the master at bringing digital illustrations to life, which pack a great deal of details, character, and lovely combinations of colour.

His work is perfectly suited towards the festive season, and we thought he was a great start to our ‘Ultimate Christmas Creative Inspiration’

Working for ‘Millionenlos Swisslos’, Steve was asked to create ‘3 full page festive puzzle illustrations for Millionenlos Swisslos, the Swiss National Lottery’, which by the looks of the final illustration, wanted to be represented in a fun, creative and playful way.

You can see Steve’s initial thumbnail concepts through to final approved pencil drawings, all the way down to the final illustrations, which really capture the festive and Christmas season excellently.

Producing illustrations that appear as a crossword, quiz and interactive ‘Where’s Wolly’ inspired image, Steve has produced a series of Christmas illustrations which we love on Graphic Tide!

Christmas Typo Font by the great Luca Milani

These Christmas Typography designs perfectly fits with what we’re trying to achieve with this blog post, which captures the essence of unique and creative designs, to capture the true spirit of Christmas.

Purely using typography to form his imagery, Luca Milani has created a set of designs which celebrates typography and Christmas combined. Using the charm and humour of Christmas, Luca has created designs which perfectly sum up what Christmas is all about, by only using typography!

Using the number 8 to created a snowman influenced design, using a ‘J’ to form the candy on a Christmas Tree, and the ‘G’ to form Santa Claus, Luca has done a fantastic job!

As you look deeper into the project, which was inspired from Luca’s big passion for font and type, you can see how much work has gone into these simple but highly effective designs, which takes a lot of planning, sketching and developing in order for them to work.

This isn’t obviously seen by the end result, as their so simple in design, but highly efficient in execution.

Holiday Punch Gift Tags by Willoughby Design

Celebrating the holiday Christmas season in full style, is the Holiday Punch Gift Tags by Willough Design.

Using lots of different design elements, from type, packaging, illustration to colour combination, Willough Design have come up with elegant and highly attractive designs to celebrate the Christmas period.

“To celebrate the 2014 holiday season, we went back to our roots and designed the thing we love most: gorgeous, tactile, printed products with a message to share.”

The whole idea of the project was not only to celebrate Christmas, and everything that revolves around it, but to ‘pass on’ the cards onto your friends and family, and sharing that Christmas spirit further.

Using high quality items and working processes, from luxurious French paper, custom die cuts and gold-laced twine, Willoughby have created gift tags which would look excellently next to a present this Christmas.

We hope you enjoy the blog post, and be sure to share on Twitter & Facebook if you like what you see!
